| What is Camp My Life My Choice? |
|
| Camp My Life My Choice is the pioneer camp in Malaysia which introduces teenagers to the concept of having and dealing with Choices in their lives. |
|
| Teenagers grow up to be young adults in no time, and it is best if we prep them with the tools to make wise choices. Here, at the camp, they will live a simulated life of a character! | |
|
| How does the camp work? |
|
| The concept of the camp is really interesting! We'll try to say it in as few words as we can |
|
1. Every participant will live a simulated life of a character given to them
2. Every participant will be given a My Card, stating their age, gender, family and financial background, education level and more. Then, their 'lives' begin.
3. They will be given a Life Journal.
4. In their Life Journal, they will find a Tree of Life.
5. At the end of the 3-day camp, participants would have lived a complete simulated life on camp.
|
| Main objective of the camp |
|
| The main objectives of the camp are simple. This camp will definitely give participants a different view of life, and they will be compelled to think before making a choice/ decision in future. The main objectives are to teach participants about: |
|
1. Making Choices
2. Understanding the Consequence of these Choices
3. Learning How to Move Forward
|
| What is the Life Journal and the Tree of Life? |
|
| Yes, really interesting indeed! |
|
Every participant will be given a Life Journal, where they will write their 'life' story during the camp. Everything goes into this Life Journal, including every challenge they faced, how they solved it, the consequences of their action, and how they moved forward from there.
In their Life Journal, they will find a Tree of Life. The peak of the Tree presents the Ultimate Reward of the camp. However, to reach this Ultimate Reward, participants must strive to climb this Tree, through challenges faced, situations posed and more. To progress from one level of the Tree to the next requires participants to collect points.

|
| The Point System |
|
| Every participant will be given a specific number of Points when they start, and their aim will be to accumulate Points in areas that they choose to - remember, every choice has its consequence. Points categories are as follows: |
|
- Money from the Life Bank (LB)
- Experience Points (XP)
- Social and Friends Points (SF)
- Success and Career Points (SC)
- Family Points (FP)
- Health and Fitness Points (HF)
- Spiritual and Self-Realization Points (SS)

The Cards |
|
Every now and then, participants will be given Cards to spice up their 'lives'. These cards provide challenges and choices they have to make, to determine the course of their lives. They will see 2 categories of Cards - Change Cards and Game Cards:
|
|
CHANGE CARDS
1. Challenge Card - gives participants opportunity to win a challenge and gain points (challenges are physical/ mental)
2. Situation Card - participants will be given a situation, and they must act on it or get forfeited
3. Career Card - participants will be given this card 5 times in the camp, at different 'ages'
4. Choices Card - participants will be asked to select between 2 options - the choice will affect their future
5. Scenario Card - participants will be given scenarios to act out/perform in front of the other participants to gain points
GAME CARDS
1. Fast Forward Card - choice to fast forward life at a cost
2. Rewind Card - choice to rewind one phase of life at a cost
3. Pause Card - choice to pause someone else's life at a cost
